CRITICA

Caro Paul,

“With spray-paints Tiililä has painted interesting studies of  space, reflecting  dreamlike  lyricism.

To the most interesting paintings belongs red-black compositions, which metaphorical language

is based  on European  cultural codes.” (Critic Maila-Katriina Tuominen about the first solo exhibition 1992; Aamulehti, the second newspaper in Finland).

“About the works radiates certainty, courage and cheerfulness.  Some of  the workls are like

Tankapoems, small and pithy but making you to think. About other works  the  luxurianty and  the joy of life are  absolutely bubbling. However, the best  contribution of the exhibition is the  abundanca of the colours, the violence of  strong and masculine scale of coliurs.”  (Critic Hanna Soininen 1993, Valkeakosken Sanomat, a local newspaper)

“In Paul Tiililä´s art is the poetry crystallizing. He is able to touch the spectator with only a few marks; his language is simply and lineary and it is coming straight from his feelings. Paul Tiililä´s art is  clean and optimistic art, art which touches.” (Italian critic Eraldo Di Vita; Web Art Magazine, 2005).
